

Course Description
The goal of this course is to familiarize radiologic technologists (RTs) and other healthcare professionals with all aspects of patients with diabetes. The course will begin by reviewing the scope and definition of diabetes and examining its related physiology. Classification of the types of diabetes, exploration of their symptoms, and potential complications will be discussed. Treatment options, care management, a review of diabetes research and its future, and the RT's role related to diabetic emergencies and managing patients in their care will be outlined. The course will conclude with a patient interview to bring a patient's perspective of living with diabetes into consideration.

In order to receive CE credit, you must first complete the activity content. When completed, go to the "Take CE Test!" link to access the post-test.
Submit the completed answers to determine if you have passed the post-test assessment. You must answer 29 out of 38 questions correctly to receive CE credit. You will have no more than 3 attempts to successfully complete the post-test.
Participants successfully completing the activity content and passing the post-test will receive 4.5 ARRT Category A credits.
Approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists for ARRT Category A credit.
Approved by the state of Florida for ARRT Category A credit (for Technical credits).
