ABSTRACT
The goal of this course is to familiarize radiologic technologists with small bowel diseases and the different imaging modalities available today to assist practitioners in the diagnosis and evaluation of such diseases. This course will begin by reviewing anatomy and physiology of the gastrointestinal tract. The remainder of the course will cover small bowel diseases, different diagnostic procedures that are available to aid in diagnosis, and will conclude with detailed information about CT enterography and MR enterography diagnostic procedures and the role those procedures play in diagnosing and evaluating patients with small bowel diseases.
